FAQ’s
What sort of people get coaches?
Most of choose leadership’s coaching clients have a medium to large number of direct reports. Choose leadership coaching specialises in assisting with the people side of your business so our clients are, naturally, people managers.
It is no surprise to hear that we assist client’s at ALL levels of an organisation to reach their leadership potential. Whilst our senior executives will have additional areas to consider such as cultural change, strategic human resource, organisational development, employee retention and staff engagement; ALL of our client’s remain involved with performance management, building effective teams, communicating effectively, enhancing constructive leadership styles, decreasing passive or aggressive behaviours, dealing with difficult team members and the list goes on.
What will the coach assist with?
“People, relationships, organizations and behavioral change are what executive coaches know best. When an executive is struggling to learn how to best manage herself and engage others, you’ve found the sweet spot for executive coaching.” Douglas McKenna – Forbes.com
What does coaching look like?
Choose leadership coaching sessions are usually launched over a very informal coffee, preferably off-site at a coffee shop. It is here that we have a get to know you conversation and a brief discussion about the client’s objectives for coaching (don’t worry we are experts at clarifying objectives this is an informal chat not a performance review!).
This meeting is an obligation free opportunity to ensure that there is a good “fit” between our coache’s style and your personal objectives. This is also an opportunity to discuss which style of coaching will best fit your circumstances – in person over coffee, via phone, number of sessions etc. We have a number of standard packages that can be customised to suit.
Commitment
To provide real change real commitment is needed. Getting a coach is not in itself a solution.
Working together with a coach will provide you with a strong, supportive environment to discuss your concerns, construct solid goals and plan an effective strategy to achieve.
